HAITI:
It is going through a devastating crisis in every sense; natural, political, humanitarian and health. The Haitian population suffers from an outbreak of cholera disease, and there are not enough resources to assist them. In August 2021 a high magnitude earthquake devastated the country, following the assassination of its president. Unemployment, deaths and poverty abound.
EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA Y HONDURAS:
These countries make up the northern triangle of Central America, they are linked by socioeconomic conflicts which force their population to emigrate and poverty abounds. Corruption and violence in the streets affect the lives of thousands of people who flee every day.
MEXICO:
Thousands of immigrants enter the country daily, which causes conflicts, there are violent detentions. Immigration restrictions are in place, leading to a search for new clandestine roads for refugees. The pandemic has generated humanitarian conflicts in Mexico, especially in the affected sectors, adding to the climate events that they suffer every year. Drug dealing and the fight against it has led to many deaths and an atmosphere of persecution and danger.
