In th e m idst of th is th ro n g fo r a y e ar p ast, daily, th e Bible h as b een p reach ed . Slow ly b u t su rely th e W o rd of God has w on its w ay. L ine u p o n line, p re c e p t u p o n p re ce p t, steadily, su rely th e cleavage has b een m ade, a n d now th e re is a larg e con­ stitu en cy of m en w ho publicly proclaim belief in th e O ld Book a n d m any, very m any, have confessed th e ir faith in th e C h rist of th e Book. T h is is a w o rk well w o rth th e doing. H e re th e Sw ord of th e S p irit has p ro v en its m etal a n d has b een found sufficient to m eet th e need. It has slain m en rig h t a n d left. F o r this field God raised u p a m an, one w ho k new th e Book an d w ho k new m en. O n e w ho h ad no fe a r of m en befo re his eyes, one w ho h a d him self b een b ro u g h t in to captivity to th e Son of God a n d becom e H is b o n d serv ­ a n t.
