Jam ison reports that: T h e re have b een 333 in d o o r a n d 320 open a ir G ospel m eetings co n d u cted a t th e M ission H all d u rin g th e y e ar, w ith a n a t ten d a n ce of a p p ro x im ate ly 54 0 0 . A t least 4 0 0 0 of these w ere u n c o n v erted m en. O v er 13,000 tra c ts w e re d istrib u ted a n d 130 G ospels a n d T estam en ts w ere given aw ay a t th e M ission. N inety-seven a fte r n o o n Bible classes w ere co n d u cted a t th e M ission w ith a n av era g e a tte n d a n c e of ov er six. O v e r 3 0 0 hom e a n d hospital visits w ere m ade, a n d ap p ro x im ate ly over 3 0 0 p e rso n al interview s w ere held w ith m en a b o u t th e ir salvation. Fifty-six Bibles a n d 15 T estam en ts w ere sold. T h re e fu n e ra l services a n d nin e co tta g e m eetings w ere co n d u cted d u rin g th e year. T h e m ission is o p en all th e tim e a n d we lodge from fo u r to six a t th e h all every nig h t. W o rk h a s b een secu red fo r a larg e n um b er of m en, a n d a c tu a l needs have been m et in m any o th e r cases. Besides th e above th e re have b een q u ite a n um b er of c o u rt cases, business difficulties a n d fam ily affairs th a t have re q u ire d m y p e r sonal a tte n tio n . T h e re w ere 87 professed conversions, m aking 934 since th e w o rk began, A u g u st 1st, 1907. Besides th e above m eetings a t th e m is sion, 74 Bible classes, 14 p re a c h in g serv ices, 4 7 S unday school classes w ere con d u cted a n d 71 o th e r m eetings w ere a d dressed. T h e class is held in S an Q u e n tin p e n ite n tia ry by o u r rep resen tativ e, Mr. G eorge W . H u n te r, w ho is in th e N o rth h olding a series of Bible classes. T his class has been held fo r several w eeks, m eeting on S at u rd a y a ftern o o n , w hen th e m en a re a c corded th e privilege of out-o f-d o o r re c re a tio n in th e y a rd of th e priso n . T h is Is th e only tim e in th e w eek w hen this o p p o rtu n ity fo r b re a th in g th e fresh a ir is theirs, a n d y e t 3 0 0 m en have tu rn e d from this privilege to th e g re a te r one of stu d y in g th e Bible. T his is w hy w e term it a g re a t class. H ere a re m en from a ll th e w alks of life, g a th e red a ro u n d th e O ld Bible, finding in it th e ever new m essage fo r th e ir h u n g ry souls. W e do n o t know of a m ore im p o rta n t class an y w h ere th an this. M ay w e n o t h o p e th a t m any of these m en will com e fo rth fully e q u ip p ed w ith a know ledge of th e W o rd of God to b e com e p re a c h e rs a n d tea ch e rs of th a t W ord? O ne h u n d re d a n d fifty of these m en have also signified th e ir desire to tak e u p th e Scofield Bible C o rresp o n d en ce C ourse a n d a rra n g em e n ts a re b eing m ade to th a t end. T h e Bible h as n o t lost its hold u p o n m en, a n d ev eryw h ere w e find m en responding to th e new inv itatio n to study its pages.
