This Greek basil-type produces a tight, neat, rounded mound of densely packed leaves. Highly aromatic small leaves loaded with Basil flavor, Aristotle looks as good as it tastes and makes a delightful feature plant in pots or containers or even planted into a sunny spot in the garden. Strong stems, late flowering and good tolerance to poor weather make for excellent performance. One seed can easily fill a 1 gallon/8” (20 cm) pot. Best for: adding flavor to soups, sauces, fish and meat dishes. Fresh or dried.

A very ornamental basil bred for its flowers as well as its foliage. Floral Spires make great flowering plants but they are also excellent for culinary use. Unlike other Basils the leaves do not get bitter when the plant flowers. Uniform, dense bushy habit with a distinct Thai basil scent, an ideal windowsill plant which is equally happy in a pot or planted out in the garden.
