Girl Scouts will use their senses as they explore the garden, making note of all the colors they see and sounds they hear! Then, girls will either make a botanical print, paint a gourd or create a maraca with recycled and natural materials, and learning the basics of Leave No Trace practices. Art materials and projects may differ with what we find in the garden that day! Girl Scouts will find art in All Aspects of Nature! All steps of the badge are covered; badge will need to be purchased at the Girl Scout shop. Girl Scouts will get their fresh snacks from the garden instead of the corner store. Girls will check out the plants in the gardens for sunflower seeds, popcorn, raspberries, and mini tomatoes. Plant selection will vary by what is in the garden that day! Girl Scouts will create a snack sampler and learn how to prepare a healthy garden recipe. Plan with friends what you will plant for a harvest snack party. They will complete all steps for the Snacks Badge Workshop, while enjoying snacks from the garden.

Length: 3 hours (can be split over multiple meetings).
