Harvesters is a regional food bank serving 27 counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Our mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes of hunger. We provide food and household products to more than 900 nonprofit partners, including food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, and children’s homes. We operate two facilities in Lawrence, KS and Kansas City, MO. Visit our website to learn more and get involved! These workshops are led mostly by women and former Girl Scouts! Troops should submit their volunteer request at least two weeks before their preferred service date—the earlier, the better! When submitting your request, please review our chaperone guidelines. Chaperones must be included in your group count and will serve alongside the girls in the Volunteer Engagement Center.
