Teamwork is hard! In this workshop, we teach the foundations of the ancient art of Bunraku, a form of Japanese puppetry, while giving troops an opportunity to work together and collaborate while exploring the main emotions and how to handle them. With a focus on storytelling, troops will learn about character-building, objectives, and tactics, all while engaging with their peers.

A self portrait opens the door to understanding ourselves and bringing it to life with a puppet opens up the possibilities of expression. What if Puppets can activate your girls’ sense of self as they design and build a puppet based on who they are on the inside. The experience culminates in opportunities for girls to bring their puppets to life, using their own words, and expressing themselves to their peers.
