A DUAL-BRANCH STRATEGY IS YIELDING DIVIDENDS FOR THE SUPPLIER OF QUALITY DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL SOLAR PV AND EV PRODUCTS AS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO GROW… Greentech expands its presence in the renewable energy market

EWL Greentech is continuing to grow business in the burgeoning Republic of Ireland market for renewables after opening a new Dundalk branch in December 2023. Reporting strong demand to date, the firm is hoping to generate even greater interest in its high-quality brand offer with a stand at the SEAI Energy Show in RDS Dublin over March 20-21. The Dundalk branch’s debut follows on from the opening of EEL Greentech in Belfast in October 2022, with both branches created as specialist renewables divisions of Edmundson Electrical Ltd. Jake Keyworth, Manager of EWL Greentech and EEL Greentech, said, “We have opened both businesses in the last 18 months and are continuing to grow to keep up with the increasing demand in the Irish market. “The ROI renewables market has experienced significant growth over the past two to three years, and we expect this trend to persist. “To meet the increasing demand, we strategically opened the Dundalk branch, trading in euros and providing

closer proximity and expanded stock capacity for our ROI customer base. “This move enables us to adopt a more focused approach in servicing the south of Ireland, expanding from the previous model of servicing it from Belfast.” The firm invested £275,000 in refurbishing the new Dundalk location and is planning to ramp up its team to 10 staff members as business grows. Recruiting, training and developing the best available talent in the industry is a focus for the business, with the aim of offering knowledgeable, expert customer service. The spacious 16,000sqft site currently holds €3.5m in stock, while around £5m is housed in the 15,600sqft Belfast branch. Both branches offer comprehensive design services, encompassing ballasting, wind and snow reports, and thorough on- site assessments. An established group of installation partners offer expertise across all product ranges, guaranteeing customers a seamless and well-supported experience. Technical services include PV Sol-trained staff capable of generating designs for installers, while regular training sessions

keep the team at the forefront of software updates from suppliers.

Greentech’s close collaboration with suppliers prioritises training, after-sales support and arranges supplier visits to Ireland for comprehensive training sessions and customer engagements. Greentech’s aims to dispatch all orders placed by 1pm on the same day, offering next-day delivery for most of the island of Ireland and a two-day delivery window for more remote locations.
