SECONDARY SPORTS The Senior volleyball teams took to the court. Both teams were enthusiastic and had been training regularly, showing steady improvement in both skill and team work. The girls team played, and gained more and more confidence with each game. They went through the rounds undefeated, coming a draw with one game. This earned them a spot in the Grand Final which they won in overtime. Congratulations girls. The boys played some of the best volleyball I have seen them play. Working as a team and progressing through the rounds undefeated. They were by far the most skilled team. Unfortunately, the boys, fatigued from 3 straight consecutive games, were not able to come away with the Grand Final win. Volleyball aside, our students showed our school values throughout the entire day. Ms King was the proudest teacher there today. Not only because of their results but because of the way they all showed their best selves. A special thanks to Arnie and to all of our players, especially those who didn ’ t get as much game time as others. You all worked as a team. You guys are champions!
