Excitingly, Bill, Marcus and Bonnie have been invited to attend a study tour of New Zealand, Aotearoa, which will see them embark on a week - long Field Based Inquiry in June. During the study tour, they will travel with approximately 65 Principals from the east - coast of Australia with a focus on learning about best - practice engagement of First Nations families.
Since the conference, The Lakes has been contacted by over 10 schools from the region to act as consultants in this space, helping to build the capacity of the region and sector. Further to this, The Lakes recently hosted a delegate of Principals from New Zealand, Aotearoa, who came to the College to further their understanding on the important work The Lakes has done in this space.
