Thrust 1: Exploration of future possibilities for better decision making

Advanced Air Mobility Workshop MIGHT Partnership Hub, Cyberjaya 29 January 2024

The workshop brought together 38 participants, including policymakers and implementers from various ministries such as the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (KPKM), the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR), the National Security Council (MKN), the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), the Ministry of Entrepreneurs Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KLN), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), and the Economic Planning Unit (KPK). Experts in industry development, social security, and the labour market also joined the discussions. Participants reviewed national policies and actions related to industry development, and security regarding food, resources, and national stability. They focused on how Malaysia’s climate and demographic shifts might impact economic structures, workforce dynamics, and the well-being of older people and their families. MIGHT and Futurise co-hosted the second Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Workshop at the MIGHT Partnership Hub, Cyberjaya. The workshop brought together government, industry, and academia stakeholders to explore AAM’s potential, highlighting technologies like eVTOL and advanced aerial vehicles. Discussions assessed the current AAM landscape, identified opportunities and challenges, and gathered strategic input to build a supportive ecosystem. The insights will help shape policy recommendations to relevant government bodies, paving the way for Malaysia’s sustainable and innovative AAM industry.​
