Dr Tan Shu Ying presented at the International Academic Symposium on Foresight and Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy, hosted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Russia. The symposium brought together global experts and academics in foresight to discuss key issues in science and technology foresight and STI policymaking. During her presentation, Dr Tan highlighted MIGHT’s approach to foresight methodologies, emphasising the importance of engaging industry players in shaping the future of industry development. She also showcased a case study on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), stressing its significance in informing decision-makers and positioning AAM as a strategic priority for Malaysia’s national economic growth. Bengkel Retreat Pembangunan Ekonomi Negeri Perlis Tasoh Lake Resort, Kaki Bukit, Perlis 13 May 2024
The workshop, officiated by YB Datuk Muhd Khair Razman, the State Secretary of Perlis, was held at Tasoh Lake Resort in Kaki Bukit from May 13 to 15, 2024. Organised by MIGHT, this three-day session brought together officials from the Perlis State Government to develop a visionary economic strategy for the state. Using foresight tools and the Futures Triangle approach, MIGHT facilitated discussions focused on five key areas: tourism, logistics, mining, land and minerals, and agriculture. The workshop encouraged strategic conversations aimed at shaping a prosperous and forward-looking future for Perlis.
