Since 2023, MIGHT has supported initiatives like the Malaysia Rocket Competition (MRC) to inspire young talent and spark interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Through our involvement in MRC 2024, we encourage creativity and innovation in rocket science, helping build a skilled workforce for Malaysia’s space industry. By supporting events like MRC, MIGHT fosters a passion for STEM, provides valuable learning opportunities, and strengthens collaboration between industry and academia. Our continued commitment contributes to nurturing the next generation of professionals, ensuring a sustainable talent pipeline, and advancing Malaysia’s space sector. Malaysian Rocket Competition (MRC) 2024 Felcra Changkat Lada, Seberang Perak 4 - 5 September 2024

From September 8 to 12, 2024, the Malaysian delegation, led by MIGHT, undertook a strategic mission to Scotland. The trip’s purpose was to strengthen collaborations with key players in Scotland’s space sector, participate in the Space- Comm Expo, and explore opportunities for technology transfer, joint research, and investment. Key activities included engagements with satellite companies, universities, and manufacturing facilities, where discussions focused on satellite development, space sustainability, and workforce upskilling. MIGHT also facilitated signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MASIC and Space Scotland, highlighting its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s space industry through international partnerships.
