Shared Futures: Deepening Innovation Ties with Indonesia Jakarta, Indonesia 14 March 2024 Forging stronger ties with our Indonesian counterparts remains a strategic priority for MIGHT. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia and a key G20 member, Indonesia offers immense potential for collaborative growth and innovation. Puan Ida Semurni Abdullah Ali, Chief Operating Officer of MIGHT, led a team of MIGHT delegates to mark a significant milestone in MIGHT’s regional engagement efforts. A key highlight of the visit was the successful finalisation of an agreement with Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). This partnership paves the way for the development phase of a joint programme focusing on the exploration of shared natural resources, particularly in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and other impactful sectors. Additionally, a productive meeting was held with Markplus Inc., Indonesia, on 7 March 2024, aimed at uncovering opportunities for collaborative initiatives, especially in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sectors. To enhance this bilateral exchange, myForesight®️ MIGHT will organise a specialised session for Markplus Inc., focusing on foresight methodology, strategic analysis, and planning. Markplus Inc. will lead a knowledge-sharing session by Iwan Setiawan, CEO of Markplus Inc., on the High-Tech Marketing Trilogy Strategy-a cutting-edge approach to innovation-driven marketing for MIGHT members and key stakeholders. The collaboration will culminate in a high-level strategic planning seminar titled “Reimagining Operational Excellence: Inspiration from Asia” on 19 November 2024, featuring the renowned Bapak Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder and Chairman of MarkPlus Corp, known for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of marketing. MIGHT also visited the ASEAN Secretariat Headquarters in Jakarta, to present its capabilities, expertise, and aspirations for deepening international collaboration in science, technology, and innovation. This continued partnership with Indonesia reinforces MIGHT’s commitment to fostering regional innovation ecosystems, strengthening cross-border cooperation, and promoting shared prosperity through science and technology.
