WTC, Kuala Lumpur 12 June 2024
MIGHT was honoured to be one of the 18 organisations participating in the exchange of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Agreements (MOAs) during the closing ceremony of the Industry- Academia Discourse on Advanced TVET, hosted by the Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN). The MOU highlighted MIGHT’s international programme based in the United Kingdom Research Capacity Strengthening (RCS), which aims to establish a strategic synergy model for university-industry collaboration across MTUN’s four technical universities. These include Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), focusing on sustainable technology and transportation; Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), specialising in advanced manufacturing and computing technology; Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), with strengths in advanced process engineering and automotive fields; and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), known for its focus on electronic and automation engineering. The ceremony was graced by YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, and attended by YBrs. Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman, Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education and a member of MIGHT’s Board of Directors. This collaboration marks another important step in aligning academic research with industrial needs, further reinforcing MIGHT’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) ecosystem through strategic and international partnerships.
