Empowering Communities Through NDT Training: Strategic MoU Between MIGHT and YPM Terengganu

A significant milestone was achieved as the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and Yayasan Pendidikan Maidam (YPM) Terengganu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on human capital development within the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) industry. The MoU was signed by Rushdi Abdul Rahim, President and CEO of MIGHT, and Norhana Yaakub, CA.(M), CEO of YPM. This strategic collaboration, supported by RSA Academy Sdn Bhd, is committed to training and job creation in Terengganu. The programme’s core objective is to nurture a pool of skilled workers in the NDT sector, addressing industry demands while empowering local communities. A total of 50 selected students will benefit from this initiative. By equipping individuals with practical skills and employment opportunities, the programme aims to reduce poverty and build a more capable workforce and supporting Malaysia’s aspiration to become a high-income nation. The launch was officiated by Dato’ Ab Rasid bin Jusoh, Deputy Secretary of the Terengganu State Government.
