Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Smart City Operation Centre

The Malaysian delegation visited the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Smart City Operation Centre in Incheon City. Thirteen delegates from MIGHT, MOSTI, MTDC, MRANTI, MIMOS, and MSCA explored the operation centre.The IFEZ Smart City Operation Centre functions as a “safety guard,” ensuring the protection of citizens 24 hours a day. The centre addresses various urban issues, including preventing suicides, traffic accidents, fire emergencies, and locating missing children through real-time monitoring. The IFEZ Smart City Operation Centre is managed by the Incheon Smart City Corporation and operates 2,112 CCTV cameras, including 1,457 in Songdo, 504 in Cheongna, and 151 in Yeongjong. The cameras function 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
