The Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Centre (GKEDC) joined forces to host an impactful capacity- building workshop focused on creating sustainable smart cities. The 2024 KDI GKEDC Capacity-Building Workshop seeks to tackle pressing global challenges through a diverse array of knowledge-sharing initiatives, including engaging workshops, the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP), a Project Concept Proposal (PCP) Seminar, the vibrant Knowledge Exchange Days (KED) conference and exhibition, as well as insightful site visits and dynamic business interactions. The event attracted government officials and esteemed experts from the Republic of Korea’s partner countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hungary, and Saudi Arabia.MIGHT led compelling discussions and presentations centred on two innovative proposals
that the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT) can promote as vital instruments for fostering development and enhancing economic cooperation. This initiative exemplifies the powerful potential to effectively elevate the policy and institutional capacities of participating nations.
