International Engagements with Indonesia, South Korea and Turkiye
The initiative aims to strengthen international collaboration with countries in high-tech areas through joint initiatives, fostering innovation, and establishing strategic partnerships. It supports the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI)’s international engagement and visibility by facilitating high-level collaborations and showcasing Malaysia’s leadership in science and technology. A significant outcome of the visit was establishing a new collaboration with the Turkish Energy, Nuclear, and MineralResearch Agency (TENMAK), focusing on rare earth development, further solidifying Malaysia’s role in advancing high-tech innovation and strategic partnerships globally. Additionally, MIGHT signed MOUs with Indonesia and South Korea, marking a step toward deeper collaboration inhigh-tech sectors. These agreements have paved the way for an international joint funding initiative valued at RM 5 million,supporting collaborative research and development of commercialised projects between industry and universities.
