UPGRADE YOUR MACHINES TO 4G PRODUCT LINK FOR FREE

Mobile network carriers are in the process of retiring their 2G and 3G networks to expand and support the 4G and 5G networks. This means that any Caterpillar machines that are connected to the old networks will stop reporting any updates to us from the end of 2024. The good news is there’s a free fix for all Caterpillar owners – an upgrade to a 4G Product Link device. This will ensure valuable information from the Product Link device doesn’t disappear and allows us to continue to support your machine/s over cellular networks. If your machine is still reporting via 2G and 3G networks, there are two key dates you need to be aware of. • 7 December – Caterpillar will unsubscribe assets that haven't reported for the past 12 months, or don't have digital authorisation. • 19 December – All remaining unsubscribed assets will be blocked from future subscriptions until the device is updated to 4G.

This shutdown only applies to Product Link devices, not the asset itself. Your machine can be resubscribed once the device is updated to 4G.
