CHRISTCHURCH ROLLING INTO ITS NEW BRANCH

Work on the new Christchurch branch is progressing well, with the construction completed and the internal fit-out well under way, and timeframes for the transition from Hornby to the new site at Waterloo Park are starting to firm up. Over the next couple of months there’ll be a big focus on moving and mobilising the distribution centre, PDI, workshop and the retail space to the new premises. The distribution centre will move in before Christmas, while the workshop and engineering bay are on track to move in January, but this is reliant on some long lead-time items arriving from overseas. Once the timing is confirmed, the moving dates will be communicated to our customers and stakeholders. The practical completion of the Terra Analytical laboratory is scheduled for April, and this part of the business will move to their new Waterloo Park building in Q2 of 2025.

Over the road, the base build of the new support office that Terra will share with Sime Darby Motors NZ is almost completed, with the final cladding and windows being installed. At this stage, the head office staff will also be moving in the early part of Q2 2025.
