Sustainability As a well-established design practice, we integrate sustainable materials and energy-efficient solutions into every project, particularly in NHS commissions. We align with government policies on sustainability, net-zero carbon goals, and ethical sourcing, adding value beyond basic project criteria. Our sustainable approach begins with careful material selection. We prioritise responsibly sourced timber, recycled fabrics, and biodegradable composites that are durable, reusable, and low in carbon footprint. Where feasible, we specify local materials to reduce transport emissions and support local economies. Functionality and aesthetics are equally important. We choose long-lasting materials that minimise maintenance and waste, preserving the space’s appearance and utility over time. Finishes, paints, and coatings are selected for their non-toxic, low-VOC properties, promoting healthier indoor environments. We also implement robust waste management during fit-outs, ensuring packaging materials are sorted and recycled, supporting a circular economy. Energy efficiency is addressed through LED lighting and thermal solutions like insulated curtains, helping reduce energy use. Our designs go further by incorporating biophilic elements—plants and greenery—to improve air quality, reduce stress, and enhance wellbeing. This comprehensive, environmentally conscious approach underpins our commitment to delivering sustainable, high- quality spaces in all our projects.
