You’ll need two items to access your Lippincott® DocuCare course. 1. Product Access Code—included with your purchased course materials (your instructor will provide you with purchase instructions). You need this code to register and create your login and password at thePoint®. 2. Course ID—you will receive the Course ID from your instructor, and it is needed to enroll you in your instructor’s class so you can access your learning resources and assignments. Course IDs are typically a combination of 12
letters and numbers (example: 18SD32CZBIEU). Learn More: Tutorial videos are available

Activating your Product Access Code and Registering at thePoint® New Users 1. Go to thePoint.lww.com 2. If you haven’t registered at thePoint® before, select New User.
3. Enter your Access Code where indicated, then select Next. 4. Enter your email address, select whether you have an existing password or need to create one, and selectNext. 5. On the registration form, fill out all required fields, select the checkbox if you agree to the terms and conditions. Select Submit. Returning Users 1. Go to thePoint.lww.com 2. If you are already a registered user on thePoint® , select Return User and log in with your previously created email and password. 3. If you have forgotten your username or password, use the forgot your password link. 4. If you need to add a new title to your My Content listing, select the Add a New Title to enter your access code.

Launching Lippincott DocuCare 1. On the My Content page, locate your Lippincott DocuCare product 2. Select Launch
Joining a Class DocuCare is organized by class. You will need to enroll in your instructor’s class to view and complete assignments. 1. Launch DocuCare 2. If this is the first time you have accessed DocuCare, you will be prompted to Register for a Class. 3. Click “Enroll.” Result: You will be taken your course home page. From here, you can see your instructor’s class instructions and open assignments. My Classes Homepage From the My Classes homepage you can 1. View all your DocuCare classes
2. View and open assignments due in the next 14 days 3. View new instructor feedback for submitted assignments
Completing an Assignment 1. From the My Classes homepage, open your Class by clicking on the “class name” hyperlink

2. Locate and select the assignment you want to complete
Reviewing Instructor Feedback 1. To access your instructor feedback, open your Class by clicking on the “class name” hyperlink 2. Once in your class, you can access your instructor feedback by clicking on the assignment name under the Active Assignments with Instructor Feedback section.
3. Look for your instructor’s feedback via the message icon.
4. When looking at feedback, make sure to Acknowledge the feedback

Student ‐ Initiated Patients Within DocuCare, you have the option to practice charting using the Add New Patient button. This option may also be used by your instructor to submit a patient or may be used by you for practice. Please refer to your instructor before submitting a patient via the Add New Patient button.
