COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING
MUSIC IN THE MEADOW SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Spring/summer 2025 brought the launch of our new concert series - free and open to the public! Music in the Meadow turned summer evenings into shared experiences, with four standout bands on Members Hill and a rotating lineup of local food trucks. Families, friends, and neighbors filled the lawn to enjoy live music, good food, and an easygoing atmosphere. Music in the Meadow is a pilot initiative as we work to expand our community programming (plans for Movies in the Meadow are in the works). Stay tuned for 2026 announcements with more dates, new bands, and another season of family fun!
HUNTERS ASSOCIATION THE INAUGURAL HUNTER EXAM
The Hunter Games made their debut at Great Meadow in March 2025, transforming the grounds into the ultimate arena for strength, endurance, and strategy. A new event to Great Meadow, this high-stakes, elimination-style fitness competition drew athletes from across the U.S. and abroad to face grueling physical and mental challenges. Designed to test resilience and adaptability, only the top 1% of competitors earned the coveted title of “Pro Hunter.”
With its vast, diverse terrain and history of world-class events, Great Meadow proved the perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind test of human performance and determination.
A cornerstone of our community and cultural programming, the Virginia Scottish Games brings heritage and sport to Festival Hill at Great Meadow over Labor Day weekend. The 51 Games featured Highland Athletic Competition with professional athletes from across North America, along with Piping and Drumming, Highland Dance, Fiddling, and more. Each year, the event delivers an immersive, family-friendly experience that connects attendees to the music, pageantry, and athleticism of Scottish culture - right here at Great Meadow. st VIRGINIA SCOTTISH GAMES
