POLO SPOTLIGHT
From the excitement of the Sunset Polo Series , which drew thousands of spectators to Veterans Stadium on warm Saturday evenings, to the weekly grass matches on the Grand Prix field that honored the sport’s deep traditions, polo remains at the heart of Great Meadow’s equestrian culture. This year also saw the return of the Cloverleaf Charity Polo Classic , raising funds for local nonprofits and bringing together players and supporters for a day of spirited competition and philanthropy. Great Meadow was again proud to host the National Sporting Library & Museum Polo Classic , celebrating the enduring link between equestrian sport, art, and heritage. The Commander-in-Chief Cup at Great Meadow honored the proud tradition of military polo, bringing together teams from across the armed forces for a thrilling day of sport and ceremony. With service members, families, and supporters in attendance, the event celebrated camaraderie, athletic excellence, and Great Meadow’s deep connection to the military community. Our season culminated in November with the return of the Veterans Cup - an inspiring day honoring service members and their families through Polo with Purpose and the shared pride of community.
The polo heart will beat strong next year: Saturday evenings from May through September will launch Great Meadow Polo , bringing the beloved Sunset Polo experience fully under our roof. Expect fast-paced, spectator-friendly matches, elevated tailgating and premium boxes, family activities, live entertainment, and warm hospitality. In June, the Four Nations Cup will debut, adding the elegance, excitement, and high-powered flair of international polo to Great Meadow. Our goal is simple: honor Great Meadow’s polo tradition while making it even more welcoming for neighbors, newcomers, and devoted fans.
