CWGO: Career Women’s Golf Organization

The ladies of CWGO wrapped up another successful golf season with their Fall Finale, 1 November, and their End-of-Year Dinner 5 November. Emplacing a new board was the top order of business. Pam Quinn ascended from Vice President to President and Liz Kretovic ascended from Events Co-Chair to Events lead. New members elected were: VP - Ann Repczynski; Events Co-Chair - Sara Samford; and Secretary: - Cathy Vandermaarel. Remaining on the board are Kathleen Love (Treasurer) and Linda Smith (Membership). Many thanks to outgoing board members for their contributions: Sam Haberlach (President), Carin Carithers (Secretary), and Emily McGee (Events). Additionally, several members were recognized during the dinner for their contributions to the organization and successes on the course. The most improved CWGO golfer for 2025 in the lower handicap range was Gwen House, who dropped from 19.1 to 14.6. In the higher range, is Sam Haberlack was most improved, lowering her handicap from 31.4 to 25.6 – notably moving herself from the upper half to the lower half! Honorable Mention goes to Andrea Snader, who dropped her index 15.1%. The average Handicap Index for CWGOers is 26.7. Ringers winners included 1st Low Net (ARL + FFX) Emily Graves, 2nd Low Net (ARL) Liz Kretovic, and 2nd Low Net (FFX) Margaret Ann Connors. The women of CWGO are planning several social events in the off season. Members should keep an eye out for emails and Facebook updates.
