Donate to One of Our Local Food Pantries!
Sept. 2 is National Food Bank Day! Although this holiday is early in the month, we should all try to donate to a greater cause when possible. Helping those in need and donating items you no longer need or food you won’t eat can significantly benefit someone in your community. Here are three food banks in our area that you can donate to this month.

FISH stands for “Friends in Serving Him” and is a volunteer organization that aims to help the less fortunate in St. Charles County by providing food, clothing, linens, and houseware. On average, they help over 5,500 adults and children annually. Since the organization’s formation in 1969, FISH continues to be managed and operated by more than 80 volunteers. You can find more information on their website if you want to donate or volunteer. We donate and give back to our community out of the kindness of our hearts. But you can also receive a charitable deduction on your taxes if you donate. For food bank donations, you can receive a food pantry tax credit. Before you go and donate, go to Dor.Mo.gov/Tax-Credits for more information or give your friends at Capital Advisory Group a call for more resources and details.
Circle of Concern helps thousands of people in west St. Louis County every year. But on top of giving food to those in need, Circle of Concern also offers financial assistance to help individuals pay their utility bills and avoid evictions. They also offer scholarships, children’s programs, and holiday programs.
