The Melvin Knapp Activity Center (KAC) is a multiuse facility serving the 50+ population of Pearland and its surrounding neighbors. The KAC features a lending library, a computer lab with printing and internet access, WiFi throughout the entire building and a fitness room with three treadmills, two stationary bikes and a resistance machine. The KAC also features several accessory rooms that host various activities such as quilting, painting and game playing. Exercise classes for all skill levels are offered at the KAC in the spacious, mirrored exercise room, while all social activities, including a daily lunch service provided through ActionS of Brazoria County, are hosted in the large multipurpose room. The KAC is a membership-based facility: Membership is $25 per year for Pearland residents and $50 per year for non-residents.
