Putters can make everything better or, seemingly just as often, everything worse. It’s the one-putt par versus the three-putt for double. Mallets in particular can be misunderstood. Like the idea that they are only for bad putters. (You mean, like mallet users Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda, the No. 1 players in the world?)
