PARI-MUTUEL WAGERING In pari-mutuel wagering, you may bet on your team and/or any other team. To keep it simple, we only allow bets on Win, Place and Show (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). This means if you placed a bet on a team that finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, you would collect winnings.
All wagering is on Net scores for the entire field. Wagering is not by flight.
You may bet on a team for the first round, second round and overall. Most bets are placed across the board . That would be: Win (1st place), Place (2nd place) and Show (3rd place) on day one, day two and overall.
In this scenario, a minimum bet of $5.00 on a team would cost you $45.00 to bet that team across the board.
Day 1 - Win $5, Place $5, Show $5 = $15 Day 2 - Win $5, Place $5, Show $5 = $15 Overall = $15 Total bet amount owed $45
The amount of your winnings is determined by the number of bets on that team. If a winning team has a lot of bets, you might collect 2 or 3 times your bet. If you are the only bet on a winning team, it is not unusual to win 10 to 15 times your wager!
