TOURNAMENT LOCAL RULES OF PLAY___________________________________ The Rules of Golf, effective January 2023, as approved by the USGA and The R & A Rules Limited govern play. The following Local Rules and Terms of the Competition are in effect for all play. Complete text of Rules and Model Local Rules may be found in the current edition of the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule is the general penalty: Match play—Loss of Hole Stroke play—Two Strokes PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES: Mandatory Relief. Young trees in the General Area identified by stakes are No Play Zones. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course, other than in a Penalty Area, and it lies on or touches such a tree, or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player MUST take relief under Rule 16.1f. OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by the inside points, at ground level, of white stakes and fence posts and white ground lines connecting OB stakes or fence posts. When out of bounds is defined by a white line on the ground, the line itself is Out of Bounds. A ball coming to rest beyond the road between Holes #6 and #7, #12 and #13, and #15 and #16 is Out of Bounds, even if it comes to rest on another part of the course that is in bounds for other holes. The driving range to the left of Hole #1 is Out of Bounds. Clubhouse area behind hole #18 green is Out of Bounds, defined by the course side edge of the walkway and stone/stucco planter. DESIGNATED PRACTICE AREA: A player may practice in the designated practice area located between holes #10 and #11, designated by blue stakes, either before or after, but not during, their round. The designated practice area is in the General Area. The target greens located therein are Wrong Greens from which relief must be taken, Rule 13.1f.

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS: The pump house to the left of Hole #9 fairway is an Immovable Obstruction.

EDGING GROOVE NEAR PUTTING GREEN : The edging grooves around the aprons or fringes of putting greens are ground under repair. If a player’s ball lies in of touches a groove or a groove interferes with the area of intended swing: (a)Ball in General Area: The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b. (b)Ball on the Putting Green: The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1d. But interference does not exist if the edging groove only interferes with the player’s stance. Model Local Rule F-19 IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING GREENS: (Ball and Immovable Obstruction both in the General Area Cut to Fairway Height or Less): Relief from interference by an Immovable Obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. In addition, if the player’s ball lies off the Putting Green in the General Area cut to fairway height or less, and an Immovable Obstruction in the General Area cut to fairway height or less located within two club-lengths of the Putting Green, and within two club lengths of the ball, intervenes on the player’s line of play, then the player may take relief under Rule 16.1. Model Local Rule F-5. PENALTY AREA: Dropping Zone on Hole #14 – As an additional option under Rule 17.1d, the player may use the Dropping Zone short of the yellow Penalty Area. The wooded area behind the putting green is Out of Bounds.

LATERAL DRAINAGE DITCHES: adjacent to homes are not Penalty Areas and are part of the General Area.

WOOD CHIPS AND MULCH: Are loose impediments.
