Final Employee Handbook

Security and Confidentiality - continued Employees found in violation of these rules will be subject to disciplinary action and possible discharge. Non-employees must use a main entrance and are not allowed access to work areas without supervisor approval. Computer Access Depending on the employee’s specific job assignment, the employee may be authorized to use a particular computer terminal (or equipment) or group of terminals (or equipment) to do tasks specific to his or her job assignment. This authorization does not extend to other terminals at other locations, other terminals on different systems, or to other tasks for which the employee has not been specifically trained and authorized to perform (e.g., no personal use of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media). Employees who use unauthorized computer terminals, or who perform unauthorized tasks on the terminals they are authorized to use, will be subject to disciplinary action that could result in discharge. Internet Acceptable Use Policy Auto-Wares Group (the Company) recognizes that there exist legitimate business uses of the Internet for which the employee might require access during working hours. The Company will issue e-mail addresses for all employees who have a legitimate business purpose for e-mail access to the Internet. Those e-mail addresses will be located within the autowares.com domain, and as such, all communications through that domain are the property of the Company. 2. Employees who have direct access to the Internet through other domains shall only use that access for legitimate Company business. Personal “surfing” or access to non-business-oriented sites is specifically prohibited. 3. All employees who have or acquire direct Internet access shall register that use with the Human Resources Department immediately. In that registration, the employee is required to disclose all of the following information: a. The domain name used for access. Example: joesmith@iserv.net b. The Company provided phone line number(s), or extension number(s), through which the employee will access the Internet.
