Qualifications Essential: • Degree or an equivalent qualification in risk management and/or level of experience • Chartered membership of Institute of Risk Management or working towards CMIRM Desirable: • Qualification in operational risk areas such as health and safety, emergency preparedness, business continuity management etc. Skills, knowledge and experience • Wide and varied knowledge and understand - ing of risk management across a range of disciplines with demonstrable experience of directing risk management and leadership in a large, complex organisation • Substantial experience of working as a risk manager, with a proven track record in iden - tifying key strategic risk issues and imple - menting successful value adding initiatives • Demonstrable experience of developing risk management strategy, risk management frameworks, plans of work and procedures in a large, complex organisation • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and influence a diverse range of stakeholders and building and main - taining close collaborative working relation - ships • Experience of leading significant change in an organisation whilst being willing and able to operate at all levels, providing leadership by example • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering business continuity strategies and plans of work in a large, complex organisa - tion • Experience in both supporting and influenc- ing Board and senior management, and in developing successful networks and relation - ships at all levels • Demonstrable understanding of HR policies and procedures
