Wellness Corner November, the month of “Thanks-giving” is a great time to start or strengthen a gratitude practice. A regular gratitude practice has been shown to promote greater happiness and life satisfaction, positively impact rela- tionships, improve sleep, reduce stress, and increase overall physical and mental health. Here is a simple game to play on your own or with family and friends this Thanksgiving!

THE GRATITUDE GAME

What you need: 1 standard six-sided dice, pen and paper (optional, to jot down answers) How to play: Roll the dice. Look at the prompt that matches your roll. Take 30–60 seconds to reflect on or share something specific that fits the prompt. Optional: Write it down for a gratitude journal. 1. Someone from your past that made a positive impact on your life 2. A personal skill/talent you are grateful for 3. Something in nature you appreciate 4. A favorite memory or experience from this past year and who you shared it with 5. A modern convenience you’re thankful for 6.
