The choir strives for high-level performances, and many of its members have received professional vocal training, possessing strong musical literacy and vocal technique. One of the choir’s core missions is to promote both Eastern and Western cultures. By performing musical works from both traditions, the group aims to foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding. This mission helps to create a diverse musical environment where both members and audiences can appreciate and experience music from different cultural backgrounds — including classical, popular, and contemporary pieces. In recent years, Tianbian Choir has been active on various stages throughout Los Angeles, performing well-loved songs such as “Tianbian”, “Aiyo Mama”, “The Drums of Yuyang Shake the Earth”, “Heavenly Road”, “Legend”, “By the Water”, and “Peach Blossom Red, Apricot Blossom White”. These performances have been widely praised and have drawn attention from the Chinese music community in Los Angeles.
