STEINFELD STAY-FIT NEWS

The Clinic Gets Bigger! MEET OUR NEWEST PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Things have been moving fast here at Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy! First, the big news: We have a new teammember! His name is Paul Sok, and he joined our team as a physical therapist. We’ll now be able to see more people and create more appointment times to meet your needs. That is truly exciting! This spring, I’m also doing some work with a few folks from Cal State Fullerton’s business program. I’m always looking for new ways to improve the clinic, and I love to learn what I can do to better meet our patients’ needs and the needs of the clinic as a whole. I’m bouncing a lot of ideas off this team from Cal State to get an idea of what we might do next. As we grow and bring in new patients and new therapists, I also look for new programs to add and new ways to help patients. This is why I’ve introduced monthly workshops. If you aren’t familiar with our workshops, they’re a great way to learn about what we do and how we treat different issues, such as back pain , which affects many of us. That said, if you or a loved one does experience back pain , whether intermittent or chronic, you won’t want to miss out on our next workshop. So many people are unsure about what to do about their pain, so they turn to over-the-counter medications as a quick solution, but the pain just comes back later. There are people who go through ibuprofen like candy, and that’s not good. It doesn’t have to be that way! As I discuss in the workshops, the pain doesn’t have to return. You can stop relying on over-the-counter solutions. Be sure to check out the details of the next workshop on page 2, and let’s put the pain to bed!

As a physical therapist, my position entails improving the quality of my patients’ lives by using a comprehensive approach, including individualized manual therapy, exercise, and education, as well as providing a productive but enjoyable experience at the clinic. Initially, the positive and compassionate atmosphere is what drew me to physical therapy. It seemed that, despite the pain and the injuries, most patients loved coming to physical therapy. Everyone worked hard, and we all had the common goal of improving each day. In joining the Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy team, I’m looking forward to forging new relationships with my colleagues and getting to know my patients. I’m excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge about the positive effects of moving your body and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I love witnessing the progress patients make from their first day until their last. They always want to give the credit to the therapists, but physical therapy is a team effort, including the front desk, the aides, and most importantly, the patients themselves. Outside work, I like to stay active by playing sports and working out, watching movies, and socializing with my friends and family. Life isn’t as fun without the people around you.

P.S. To wrap up this month, I want to give the floor to Paul Sok so you can learn a little more about him and his role with the clinic. So, without further ado, here’s Paul!
