NEW FACULTY MEMBERS ADDED

BIOLA ADDS NEW SCHOOL Arizona Bible Institute, founded in 1946, has announced its merger with the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Inc., and that it will be an affiliated school of the 54 year-old California training center. Dr. Samuel H. Sutherland, presi dent of Biola, and of the newly affi liated school, has declared, “We are happy to extend our ministry to this excellent training center which will continue to move forward in Phoenix. Added faculty members, accredita tion standing, and new courses in the curriculum will be a part of the features integrated into existing poli cies of the Arizona Bible Institute.” “ In the next few weeks,” Dr. Suther land pointed out, “ we expect to an nounce the appointment of five or six new members of the faculty. In addi tion, Biola will be selecting an Ex ecutive Administrator and a Director of Public Relations.” Located on a five-acre Campus, at 3025 West McDowell Road, in an ex panding area of Phoenix, Biola also plans to develop the site for future expansion, as well as to modernize some of the existing facilities. The completion of a new dormitory build- ig provides housing for one hundred students on Campus. FIELD REPRESENTATIVE RETIRES Dr. C. A. Landgren, field repre sentative for the Biola Stewardship Department in the State of Washing ton, will be retiring July 1, 1962, from the vital ministry which he so effectively has carried on for Christ. Bom in Fergus Falls, Minnesota in 1897, Dr. Landgren carried on a dental practice for 25 years which he found necessary to give up due to ill health. He and his wife moved to Auburn, Washington where his son, Dr. Cal Landgren, has been carrying on an optometry practice. He will be spending his time between his son’s home, and the home of his daughter and her family who live in Santa Ana, California. Dr. and Mrs. Landgren have been active in church work through the years. Biola will greatly miss this dedi cated servant. We are extremely grateful for that which God has done through his dedicated efforts and ministry these past years.
