King's Business - 1962-09

Light Amid Jungle Darkness Dayuma (extrem e right) smiles warmly as she stands with her fam ily in Auca land. A marked contrast to those who have only so recently received the message of God’s redeeming grace.

Mrs. Margaret Zander and her daughter, Anna Marie, talk with Gikita and Dyuwi, two of the converted killers from Auca land. The tribes peoples call Mrs. Zander “ Nae” which means honey. W e thank God for the liberating message of the Gospel as the truth of eternal life is spread to the ends of the earth.

C o n t i n u i n g to penetrate hea then darkness, the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ reaches the hearts of Auca natives in the dense jungles o f Ecuador. Long have been the years, and arduous the task, of missionary ministry since in the early days of 1956. It was at this time that God called home five of His pioneer servants in their at tempt to reach a remote tribe which had never before heard the Gospel story. These young men, struck down in the prime of their lives, were martyrs for the cause of Christ. The story has been w idely written and received as a challenge and inspiration to men and women the world around. The Editors of the King’s Busi ness felt that readers might partic ularly appreciate some o f the latest pictures from the jungle. W e are indebted to M r. and Mrs. Forrest Zander of the W ycliffe Bible Trans lators, Inc. for sending these excel lent pictures to us.
