Freedom and choice

Perhaps, then, not everyone can have the freedom to make any choice they wish – to want to obtain unequivocal freedom, one would need to have something slightly wrong with them to begin with. The concept of unequivocal freedom is a strange one, and according to the laws of nature not one humanity was ever meant to successfully explore. Yet, paradoxically, the minds evolution has bestowed on us are capable of shattering the illusion of restraints which hold as fast as iron as long as we keep hold of the preconceived notions our own social structures – and to an extent nature – bind us to. While it would require an unnaturally extreme desire for freedom caused either by circumstance or inherent personality, it is possible for one to become entirely self-governed. The jar can be shattered.
