excess energy from these sources used to make hydrogen and store it for times of high energy demand. This diversification of energy sources will increase the reliability of sustainable energy and help us with the transition to a more sustainable energy grid.
Today close to 95 percent of hydrogen produced is from fossil fuels: it is clear to see that currently making hydrogen in a clean manner isn’t economically viable . However, with future developments in technologies projected to make it cheaper, hydrogen can play a vital role in helping meet energy demands while tackling the climate crisis. Hydrogen, used alongside other renewable energy sources, has the potential to become vital in providing the world with sustainable energy for generations.
