El Paso, TX - After tragedy struck the city of El Paso in August, WSFP El Paso jumped into action in an effort to help. On August 3rd, 2019, a gunman opened fire at a Wal-Mart killing 22 and injuring another 26. WSFP’s El Paso Office began selling ElPasoStrong t-shirts with our WSFP logo on them to support the victims. All proceeds from sales go to the victims and their family’s fund. After only Six weeks almost $3,000 had been raised with other WSFP offices and Corporate pitching in.

Rapid City, SD - The Western States Fire Rapid City Branch participated in the building of a home for Black Hills Habitat for Humanity. The project consisted of sheet rocking the ceiling of the home. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization seeking to eliminate poverty housing by constructing simple, decent, affordable houses for families in need. Each home is constructed and funded by the community for the community. Our WSFP team partnered with the AGC (Associated General Contractors) Young Constructors division. The focus of Young Constructors is to promote young people in the construction industry to get involvedwith AGC leadership and network with fellow constructors of the same age group, ages 21-39.

The El Paso branch plans to continue to sell these and support our community in other ways.
