JESSICA LANGE
Jane Wright Abrahamsen Home Economics Scholarship Jessica is a lead peer adviser for UWSP's Academic and Career Advising Center and is a master writing center consultant and personal statement/career document intern at Tutoring-Learning Center. She is a member of two student organizations, the Stevens Point Assocation of Family and Consumer Sciences, and the United Council on Family Relations. Jessica plans attend graduate school for student affairs administration.
About the Award This scholarship was created to honor the late Jane Wright Abrahamsen, by her husband Martin. Jane was born in Mauston who received a degree in home economics in 1928 and a bachelor's degree in home economics education in 1933, both from the Stevens Point Normal School. She then went on to get her master's degree from UW-Madison in 1936. She then taught in the Montfomery County Schools in Maryland for 21 years, earning an outstanding teacher award from the state of Maryland.
