MACQAURIE HOSPITAL- MENTAL HEALTH NURSES FORUM In October, coinciding with Mental Health Month, our nursing team proudly launched the Mental Health Nurses Forum. The forum was attended by 28 nurses who particpated in disucssion, workshopping the future of the forum and networking with one another. The vision of this monthly forum is to build resilience and connection among nurses, recognise achievements, elevate the nursing voice, and celebrate the strengths of mental health nursing. More than just a professional network, the forum aims to foster collaboration and continuous learning. At the forefront of care, Mental Health nurses navigate complex clinical environments, evolving models of care, and increasing consumer acuity. Their role is vital, and there is a growing opportunity to enhance professional connection, recognition, and access to structured peer support and development pathways. The forum is led by a passionate group of nurses committed to improving practice, strengthening professional identity, and connecting the broader nursing workforce. All nurses are welcome and encouraged to participate, helping to shape a culture of growth, support, and recognition within our specialty.
