Winter Golf Course Set-Up To improve the quality and consistency of our golf course playing conditions, the Golf & Green Committee approved the following: Winter play course set up at ANCC will commence on or about 1 December and remain in effect until approximately 1 March. Only two sets of tee markers will be placed on each hole – one forward and one back. In many cases artificial mats will be placed on the teeing ground. When this option is utilized, all players should play from the mat and refrain from use of the grass teeing ground. We believe that this course of action will minimize winter damage, promote faster spring recovery and provide superior playing conditions during the golf season, generally March - October. The Committee thanks you for your support.

Winners of this year's Major Tournaments: Chiaki Yoshijara (Committee Cup), Connie Peduzzi (Haffey Memorial Cup), Sally Mitchell (Memorial Cup), Susan Hyer (Championship), Mary Fields (Stableford Flight), Debbie Williams (Most Improved), Sally Mitchell (Low Putts ARL), and Ginger Murray (Low Putts FFX). 2019-2020 Executive Board: Lille Simpkins (Chairman), Rita Kuntz (1st Vice-Chairman), Sally Mitchell (2nd Vice-Chairman), Maryann Rowe (Secretary), Bonnie Weiss (Treasurer), and Mary Fields (Nominating Chairman). Leda Davis (Treas.), Kathleen Nilles (Sec.) and Cindy Loughran (Special Tourna- ments) were elected to second terms. Kate Martin praised outgoing President Pamela Quinn for her leadership and many contributions to WGO-18 over the past several years. WGO-18 recognized Marie Anderson as its most improved golfer for 2019 in recognition of her reducing her handicap from 14 to 9 strokes in the past season.
