THE K I N G ’ S BUS INES S THE BIBLE INSTITUTE ON THE AIR

FIFTEEN Y E A R S ------ ANOTHER ANN IVERSARY

This month will be celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of the radio min istry of Dr. Louis T. Talbot. It is the testimony of thousands that during this period of broadcasting they have been blessed by this Bible ministry. A recent letter, for instance, reveals that, although the writer never com municated with us b e f o r e , it was through Dr. Talbot’s radio ministry that he found the Lord Jesus as his Saviour. Along with this broadcasting of the Gospel, there has been the companion

ministry of the distribution of- Chris tian literature along the Pacific Coast. As soon as a message is given over the radio, quite naturally there is a demand to have it in print, and Dr, Talbot has graciously acceded to this request, so that scores of booklets from his pen have been published, and mailed to our listeners. It is the prayer of many friends that this radio ministry will not only be maintained, but enlarged, and made an ever-increasing challenge to men, women, young people and chil dren to accept and follow Christ KHSL 8:00 A.M. MIDWEST STATIONS Several months ago, the newly-or ganized Associated Broadcasting “Sys tem made an offer to the Bible In stitute of Los Angeles with'regard to a program of expansion over certain Midwestern stations. This proposal was accepted, and on the first of the year, these broadcasts began. How ever, after a short life; the new na tional network became involved in certain difficulties, and was forced to discontinue broadcasting. As a con sequence, the programs of the Bible Institute on the Air are not now being heard over these Midwestern stations. It is hoped t h a t in the not-too- distant future, arrangements may be made, whereby our friends in the Mid west may again hear our program. In the meantime, we request a special in terest in the prayers of God’s people with regard to the r a d i o ministry. Many feel that it is the best modern means of reaching the lost with the story of the Gospel. If this is true, certainly it constitutes a real reason for satanic opposition, and a call to God’s people to stand with us in the broadcasting of true-to-the-Bible mes sages. NEW STATION AND TIME This' announcement is meant for listeners in the Southern California area. For a number of years, Dr. Louis T. Talbot has conducted a series of broadcasts at 11 a.m. over a station which could be located at 570 kilo- •cycles on the radio. Due to changes in policy of this station, the contracts of. all religious accounts have been terminated, i n c l u d i n g Dr. Talbot’s radio time. However, God has raised up another outlet over station KFVD (1020 kc.), and this program will be heard from 11:30 to 12 a.m. Monday through Friday. Dr. Talbot will continue his verse- by-verse studies in the Bible which have proved so acceptable to Christian people In and about Los Angeles^
