Description: By Act of the Legislatue, 1987 Ga. L. 5460, as amended, the Georgia Legislature enacted the Fulton Community Improvement District Act. The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution (Item #01-1007) on September 5, 2001 to creat the Central Perimeter Community Improvement District. The purpose of the CID was for the provision of governmental service and facilities: Street and road construction and maintenances, public transportation, stormwater and sewage collection and disposal systems; development, storage, treatment, purification and distributionof water; parks and recreation areas and facilities; terminal and dock facilities and parking facilities and such othr services and facilities as may be provided for by general law. Membership/Appointment: The members serve at the pleasure of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. During initial establishment of the Perimeter CID Mr. Terry Kremeier and Mr. Tim Hughes were appointed to Post 1 and Post 2, respectively, as members of the District Board with a caucus of electors, as defined in the Act, to be held for the purpose of electing five (5) additional District Board Members. Term: The members shall be nominated by the Corporations represented by the Perimeter CID Board and presented to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners for approval.
