Description: On August 20, 2003, by Resolution (Item #03-1056) of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, the North Fulton Community Improvement District (hereinafter called the "District) was created pursuant to an act of the Georgia Legislature, 1987 Ga. L. 5460, which lies partially within unincorporated Fulton County, and partially in the City of Alpharetta and City of Roswell. This Community Improvement District is intended to provide a means to supplement and enhance, but not replace, government services and facilities in the District. On September 6, 2006, by Resolution (Item #06-0961), the Board of Commissioners consented to the expansion of the North Fulton County CID. The North Fulton Community Improvement District was formed in 2003 by a group of business leaders committed to maintaining and enhancing the North Fulton community. With the goal of investing in an even more vibrant and sustainable North Fulton, the CID serves as a catalyst for transportation planning, investment and improvement. Membership/Appointment: The District is administered by a ten (10) member board, with five (5) members elected by the real property owners included in the CID, two (2) members appointed by the Board of Commissioners, and one (1) member each appointed by Alpharetta, Roswell, and Milton. The CID Board has the responsibility of directing the work of the CID and setting the annual tax levy. There will be five (5) District Board Members. Post 1 and Post 2, respectively, are appointed by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
