SOUTH FULTON COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT BOARD

Description: By Act of Legislature, 1987 GA. L. 5460, as amended, the Georgia Legislature enacted the Fulton County Community Improvement Districts Act; and by written consent of the majority of the property owners representing seventy-five percent (75%) of the value of properties within the South Fulton CID district and consented to by the City of Fairburn, Union City, and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, this board was established by Resolution on March 17, 1999, Item #99-0454. Membership/Appointment: Consists of ten (10) members; five (5) are elected by members of property owners in the CID, two (2) members are appointed representatives from Fulton County, and one (1) member each is appointed by Union City, City of Palmetto, the City of Fairburn, and the City of South Fulton. Term: Two (2) years, initial terms, thereafter, all terms of office shall be for four years, except the appointed members who serve at the pleasure of the governing body which appointed them.
