Caregiver Participation Spend quality one-on-one time with your little one as we learn rhymes, sing songs, and read stories for babies.
Baby Social (0 - 23 months)
Caregiver Participation Connect with other new parents in this casual opportunity to socialize and share. Storytime (2 - 5 years) Caregiver Participation Join us for fun stories, rhymes, and songs for little ones and their caregivers. Daycare and preschool groups must email youth@nwpl.ca to register before attending. Pyjama Storytime (All Ages) Enjoy fun family bonding while learning new favourite songs and stories. After-School Drop-in (5 - 12 years) Enjoy board games and do other fun activities with library staff. Children 8 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Postpartum Support Group (0 - 6 months) For those who are pregnant or recently had a baby. The service will focus more on parents instead of babies and children. This will allow parent(s) to meet others in the community, share experiences, and access resources. Free Admission Indoor Playland (0 - 5 years) Caregiver Participation Interact with toys, games, a bouncy castle in the gymnasium, and meet other families in the area. Builders & Games Club (6 - 12 years) Engage in a variety of games and after school building activities that enhance social connections, teamwork skills and offer lots of fun. Bring your friends and make new ones too. Needle Crafts (5 - 12 years) A fun filled knitting and crochet drop-in for children. Get help with a project of your own or work on one of the same projects as Needle Craft participants. Explore your creativity and develop skills in this welcoming environment.
Art Studio (16+ years) Gather supplies to join other artists and work independently on a self-guided project. All levels welcome. La Leche League La Leche provides peer support for pregnant women/parents, new moms/parents and beyond. Connection and respect are at the heart of what we do. Meets every third Monday of the month. Needle Crafts (19+ years) Bring a project of your own or work on one of our special projects. Everyone welcome. Bid-Euchre (50+ years) Bid on tricks in the variation of Euchre. New to Bid-Euchre? Schedule a lesson with Century House staff. Bingo (50+ years) See old friends and meet new ones while playing Bingo. Bring your own snack and beverage for the break. $0.50 / Bingo card. Bridge (50+ years) Take the lead with experienced players. New to Bridge? Schedule a lesson with Century House staff. Canasta (50+ years) Make a meld with experienced players. New to Canasta? Schedule a lesson with Century House staff. Century House Artists (50+ years) Work independently on your projects while socializing with other supportive artists. Century House Singers (50+ years) Join in a fun sing-along program! For those who love to sing.
