that helps students practice the topic is shown. The page also states how a student is performing in each topic. For example, the counting page may say, “Lara can count to 10,” helping a caretaker understand exactly what Lara’s counting ability is. Not only does the AI-Learners analytics section help parents and educators gain a deep understanding of their child’s math abilities, but caretakers can also export data to use for IEP or other educational protocols. Parents seeking evidence of stu- dents’ strong math performance for an IEP evaluation can use the AI-Learners analytics data to present how their students are performing mathematically. For teachers, the analytics section provides a “one stop” place to see all of a student’s mathemati- cal abilities, which can simplify teaching a large classroom of children. Keeping track of multiple students is challenging, but with the AI-Learners analytics section, teachers can easily see all their students’ math progress and better support a large group of students. USABILITY TESTING AI-Learners has conducted usability tests with over 100 stu- dents and teachers since the summer of 2021. These studies have been extremely valuable in providing AI-Learners design- ers and developers with feedback on the games to understand how to improve the games and further support learning for students. During the summer of 2022, a few AI-Learners team members visited schools in New York City to play math games with stu- dents and receive valuable feedback from teachers. Students were excited to play games, and usability studies showed that 95% of students were engaged, and 60% of students said the breaks between questions were their favorite feature. At the end of every school visit, students voiced wanting to play more games.
